Accomplished Jazz composers and leaders in their own right, vocalist Sarah Elizabeth Charles and pianist Jarrett Cherner have created an intimate and breathtaking collaboration, bringing a range of musical influences and unique style to their first release as a duo, Tone.
Dior String Quartet
The prizewinning young Dior Quartet is comprised of talented musicians from Israel, Korea-Canada, Saint Lucia, and the USA, and is the Quartet-in-Residence at the Glenn Gould School, Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Presented in partnership with the St Lawrence String Quartet's Emerging String Quartet Program at Stanford.
Dreamers’ Circus
A new driving force in Nordic world music is the young Danish trio, Dreamers’ Circus. Contemporary and endlessly innovative in their approach, they draw inspiration from the deep traditions of folk music in the region and reshape them into something bright, shiny and new.
Opening Night at Noe Music: Schubert’s Trout Quintet & Buster Keaton
Schubert's famous Trout quintet is followed by a screening of Buster Keaton's hilarious classic 1925 silent comedy "Seven Chances", with live virtuosic musical accompaniment composed by Stephen Prutsman for piano, flute, violin, viola, cello and double bass. Featuring Owen Dalby, Stephen Prutsman, Lesley Robertson, Paul Wiancko, Tony Manzo, and Tara Helen O'Connor.
