Horszowski Trio and friends
Last presented at Noe Music in a sold-out 2019 performance, described by a longtime subscriber as “the best concert I've ever heard”, the Horszowski Trio is joined by Artistic Directors Meena Bhasin and Owen Dalby in a program featuring Dvořák’s sublime Piano Quintet in A major.
Catalyst Quartet with Todd Palmer
Hailed by The New York Times at its Carnegie Hall debut as “invariably energetic and finely burnished … playing with earthy vigor,” the Grammy Award-winning Catalyst Quartet delivers a season-ending recital at Noe Music featuring clarinetist Todd Palmer in Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Clarinet Quintet and the inventive and rioutous Gumboots by David Bruce.
Movie Night: The General (1928)
It’s movie night at Noe Music, featuring the west coast premiere of Stephen Prutsman’s live score to “The General” (1928), a film consistently ranked by critics as one the greatest American films ever made. Featuring Prutsman and the much-loved Telegraph Quartet. Note special 5pm start time!
Balourdet String Quartet
Presented in collaboration with the Emerging String Quartet Program at Stanford University, the Balourdet Quartet is one of the finest young string quartets in North America, and they make their San Francisco debut with Noe Music!
Gilles Apap and friends (feat. Eric Zivian)
Violinist cult-favorite Gilles Apap presents a polyglot program of classical music, gypsy tunes, jazz, and folk styles that are the hallmark of this brilliant virtuoso violinist.
Jon Kimura Parker and friends
Pianist Jon Kimura Parker is known for his charisma, infectious enthusiasm, and dynamic performances. We are delighted to present our season-opening concert with Jackie, as he is known to friends, on our magnificent new Steinway Model D Concert Grand. The program concludes with Artistic Directors Meena Bhasin and Owen Dalby, along with SF Symphony Assistant Principal cellist Amos Yang, joining Parker for the Brahms Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 60.
